8 oz fresh cranberries (2 ¼ cups)
2/3 cup sugar
3 tbsp water
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1 cup butter, room temperature
1/3 cup light brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Cook cranberries, sugar, and water over medium heat until cranberries pop and mixture thickens, about 15 mins.
3. In a bowl, beat butter, sugar, vanilla until smooth. Add flour mixture, mix until clumpy.
4. Press 2/3 dough into 8×8 pan, bake for 17-18 mins.
5. Spread cranberry filling, crumble remaining dough on top, bake 25-30 mins.
6. Cool and cut into squares.
