Banana Chocolate Chip Bars
These banana chocolate chip bars are like the perfect mix of banana bread and blondies, with a hint of fudgy brownie texture. Made with overripe bananas, they’re not only delicious but almost healthy, too! Whether you make them by hand or with a mixer, they’re sure to be a hit.
1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
1 large egg
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp fine salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup mashed overripe banana (about 2 bananas)
3/4 cup chocolate chips, chopped
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line an 8×8-inch baking dish.
2. Cream together butter and sugar. Add egg, vanilla, and salt.
3. Mix in flour, followed by mashed banana and chocolate chips.
4. Pour into the pan and bake for 33-37 mins.
5. Let cool, then cut into squares.
