Christmas Sausage Rolls
These festive sausage rolls are a must-have during the holiday season! Inspired by traditional sausage rolls with a Christmas twist, these are filled with pork sausage meat mixed with a hint of orange zest, garlic, and herbs, then layered with gooey Brie and cranberry sauce. 400g pork sausage meat
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 tsp orange zest
Mixed herbs
Salt and pepper, to taste
Ready-to-roll puff pastry
Cranberry sauce
Brie cheese
1 beaten egg
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 200°C (180°C fan). Grease a baking sheet lightly.
2. In a bowl, mix sausage meat with garlic, orange zest, mixed herbs, salt, and pepper.
3. Roll out pastry and spread cranberry sauce down the middle.
4. Add sausage meat, then Brie slices on top.
5. Fold pastry over, seal edges, cut into pieces, and brush with egg.
6. Bake for 25 mins until golden.
