𝐋𝐮𝐱𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐆𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐤𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐤𝐞

Ingredients:
For the cake:
– 1 box German chocolate cake mix
– Ingredients required on the cake mix box (eggs, oil, water)
For the filling:
– 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
– 1 cup evaporated milk
– 1 cup shredded coconut
– 1 cup chopped pecans
For the frosting:
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 1 cup granulated sugar
– 3 large egg yolks
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 1/2 cups shredded coconut
– 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions:
1. Bake the German chocolate cake according to the instructions on the box in a 9×13-inch pan. Once baked, let it cool for 10 minutes.
2. Using the back of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the cake.
3. In a bowl, mix the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, shredded coconut, and chopped pecans. Pour this mixture over the cake, making sure it fills the holes. Let it sit for 30 minutes to soak.
4. In a saucepan, whisk together the heavy cream, sugar, egg yolks, and butter over medium heat. Stir constantly until the mixture thickens (about 10-12 minutes).
5. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract, shredded coconut, and chopped pecans. Let the frosting cool for 15 minutes.
6. Spread the frosting over the cake, covering the top evenly.
7. Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours before serving.
